Metaphysics was formed in October 2005 and the band immediately began to compose its own music.
The most important influences are found in the prog metal of the nineties and the prog rock of the seventies - eighties.
February 2007 saw the release of the band's first autoproduced demo called "Evolution" and the song "Evolution pt.1" was included in the compilation of the very well-known Italian magazine Rock Hard (n.57, 15000 copies) with artists such as Turisas, At Vance, Circus Maximus, Lion Share feat. Bruce Kulick, Behemoth.
On summer 2011 started the recording sessions for the band's debut album "Beyond The Nightfall", produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Simone Fiorletta (No Gravity, Moonlight Comedy, solo artist) in the SF Studio.
The album sees as special guest Andrea De Paoli (Labyrinth) on keyboard solo.
"Beyond The Nightfall" was released on July 27th by SG Records.
